From a Song

As I was sitting around doing pretty much nothing - except for listening to music - I had this brilliant idea that I would try to write a diary entry just using lines from songs. No embellishing, no changing even one word. Just a line (three or more words) straight from a song to mix together along with lines from other songs (and even using more than one line from a song, as well) to express myself. But, since I found it a bit difficult to do, I started just making up random stories - not my own life - still using only lines from songs.

It's a fun exercise. Maybe you should try it! :) Please post your results here or email me at madisonlayah@yahoo.com and I promise that you'll get a BIG thank you from me!!

I'll be posting more of these as I write them so check back often!

Take to the sky and fly through the heavens. Take a breath and believe you can do anything. Keep on moving, don't worry about what's next around the bend. Close your eyes, enjoy the ride. Let's do it together. What do you say? Take my hand and walk this way. I'll make a wish for two and I'll imagine I'm dancing with you.

Songs used:
'Take to the Sky' (Jordan Pruitt)
'Come What May' (Britt Nicole)
'Can You Handle It?' (pureNRG)
'Simple Twist of Fate' (Joshua Schiffman)
'Wish for the Moon' (Rebecca De Mornay)
